In collaboration with the Italian organization AVSI, a group of workshops were held for the Mohammad Zaidan Center for Vocational Training students. The workshops focused on the following topics: life skills, relationships and conflict resolution, flexibility and decision making, aiming to empower the students and strengthen their personalities. In addition, AVSI will tutor the students how to create their own project, plan it and implement it. Orphan Welfare Society always seeks for better education and care for the students and to monitor the youth into responsible, positive citizens to ensure their future despite the challenges they’re facing.

OWS a Model of Child Protection Policy at Houssam School

Houssam Eddine Haririr high school invited the Head of Social Welfare unit at Orphan Welfare Society, Nesrine Al Khodor, for a gathering with Grade 3 students to discuss Child Protection Policy. Al Khodor explained what child protection, the principles of Child Protection are and how OWS is implementing this policy for its students despite their abilities.

One group joined the drama class and it was an opportunity for al Qalaa students to know what Down Syndrome is and to learn about the abilities of children who have it.
