1952
Inception of Orphan Welfare Organisation Saida by several philanthropists from the community, and headed by Mr. Ahmad Riad Jawhari.
1958
Construction is completed for the new Residential Units building.
1978
Establishment of Center for Children with Special Needs including School for Deaf & School for Mental Disorders.
1982
Development of a a physical therapy center and a specialized center for artificial limbs, the second in Lebanon under the management of the Lebanese Red Cross.
1991
Establishment of the Pre-Vocational Center.
2004
Establishment of a specialized unit for the treatment of the deaf.
2005
Construction a the new dormitory for girls.
2007
Rehabilitation of the existing boys dormitory building.
2009
Establishment of Saida Generations School, offering 100% free education and teaching materials to all its students who live under dire socio-economic conditions.
2012
A new building was constructed as part of the rehabilitation and development plan for the Center for Children with Special Needs.
2013
Establishment of the Center for Children with Communication Difficulties and early stages of Autism.
2014
Construction of the new building for accelerated Vocational Training.
2017
Establishment of Ahmad Riad Jawhari Center for Autism.
2018
Establishment of the Sensory Room, Eye Clinic, and 4 Communication Disorders classes.
